About us
Projekt Design is a building design and drafting practice based on the Mornington Peninsula, working with clients across the Peninsula and greater Melbourne. We provide design, drafting and documentation services for new homes, renovations, extensions, dual occupancy developments and subdivisions.
We believe good design starts with listening. Understanding how you live, what you value and what you want to achieve helps us create a home that feels personal and works for everyday life. Each project is shaped by your brief, budget and the character of the site, with careful consideration of space, natural light, materials and sustainability.
As a small practice, we offer a direct, personal relationship with your designer. We value open communication, practical advice and attention to detail, working closely with clients, builders and consultants to bring each project together.
WHAT WE DO
At Projekt Design, we take a personal, collaborative approach to building design. We begin by understanding your ideas, priorities and budget, then shape the design around the way you live and the opportunities of your site.
Our approach brings together practical space planning, balanced proportions, thoughtful details and materials, with consideration of site levels, orientation, climate and sustainability.
We prepare clear, detailed drawings and coordinate with consultants and builders to support the transition from concept to construction. Throughout the process, you work directly with your designer, with open communication and guidance at each stage.
Preliminary Consultation & Site Assessment
We meet with you to discuss your project, understand your goals and assess the property. This stage includes reviewing relevant property information, planning controls and site constraints to establish a clear starting point.
Where required, we coordinate land surveying and prepare drawings of the existing building to inform the design.
Concept Design
Together, we develop a brief that reflects your needs, lifestyle and aspirations. We explore layouts and design options, considering the site, appearance, functionality and budget.
Concept drawings help you understand the possibilities and provide an opportunity to discuss and refine ideas before progressing into more detailed design.
Town Planning
Where a planning permit is required, we prepare drawings to support the application. Depending on the project, these may include site and floor plans, elevations, shadow diagrams, overlooking assessments, earthworks and area calculations.
We also assist with coordinating specialist input, such as planning advice, arborist assessments, landscape plans and bushfire reports, where required.
Working Drawings & Building Permit Documentation
We prepare detailed working drawings to support your building permit application and communicate the design for construction.
Depending on the agreed scope, documentation includes dimensioned floor plans, site set-out information, elevations, sections, roof plans, construction details and window and door schedules.
We coordinate relevant information from structural engineers, geotechnical consultants, energy assessors and other specialists, and assist with submitting documentation to your appointed building surveyor.
